Understanding KiwiSaver
KiwiSaver is a voluntary savings scheme designed to help New Zealanders save for retirement, with additional benefits for first-home buyers. Choosing the right scheme, fund type, and contribution rate can make a real difference to where you end up.
If a scheme outside our panel would better suit your needs, we’ll tell you and refer you to an adviser who covers it. Our goal is the right outcome for you, not pushing you toward a scheme we happen to advise on.
Fundmaster 2020 Limited (FSP741111), trading as Fundmaster, holds a Financial Advice Provider (FAP) Licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA). We provide KiwiSaver advice on schemes from Milford, Booster, and Generate.
KiwiSaver advice is given by advisers who hold the particular competence required under Standard 8 of the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services. If your needs would be better served by a KiwiSaver scheme outside our panel, we will tell you and refer you to an adviser who covers it.
The scheme manager pays Fundmaster a commission for the KiwiSaver advice we provide. You do not pay Fundmaster a separate fee for this service. The specific commission we expect to receive will be disclosed to you before you decide to proceed..Fundmaster may receive a referral fee when you join or switch to a KiwiSaver scheme through our referral service. This does not affect the fees you pay for your KiwiSaver fund.
All KiwiSaver investments carry risk and the value of your investment can rise and fall. We will provide you with the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) for any scheme we recommend so you can review the fees, risks, and features before deciding.
